How long to beat the game: I think I played this game on and off for like a few days. It really didn't take long at all. In fact, I think I streamed this game and that usually makes me finish a game faster than usual.
Best parts about the game: The story got way darker than I thought it was going to get! I love the sci-fi elements with the old school detective vibes. The game itself is really beautiful, and everyone knows I am a huge sucker for pixel graphics. I also like the different animals and how they play into class and power in the story. We play as the racoon detective who is (at first) trying to find a missing animal. There are actually multiple missing animal reports that have been coming up around the city. As we dive deeper into the story, we find that the "missing" animals have been harvested for their meat. We see that animals like the apes are quite affluent in the city and want to dine on this delicacy. Then things take a really funky turn...we learn about this parasitic substance called "The Artifact". Our little racoon detective gets himself exposed because dumbass pressed his hand against the containment and got it all over him. He is banished to the outskirts of town where we learn about the lives of those who don't reside in the main city. Ngl the ending was a tad bit confusing. The game ultimately ends with the artifact taking over and killing our protagonist racoon. In my opinion, I think they should have just left the artifact part out and just focused on the classism and cannibalism. Maybe my tiny little brain couldn't grasp it all! Either way, this is such a well-done game. I love the dialogue, gameplay, art...etc. I highly recommend for those who love little indie games with dark elements.
